Introduction to Cross-Cultural Awareness for Graduates
Graduates recruited to become tomorrow’s successful international managers require the skills to operate in a global marketplace, to understand the cultural implications of their decisions and possess the ability to turn cultural difference to competitive advantage. The growing need to negotiate and communicate effectively across cultural boundaries demands a high level of understanding as to the ways in which different cultures approach issues. To this end, the components of cross-cultural communication must be fully understood. This interactive workshop provides a basis for that understanding.
This workshop will:
explain the impact of major similarities and differences between cultures around the world
explore different management styles and design strategies to operate effectively with people used to a different style and corporate culture
assist individuals to project the right image and generate respect and trust with people of other cultures around the world
develop the skills to communicate effectively face-to-face and remotely
create a platform on which to build effective working relationships with international colleagues, clients and partners
The Result
Participants will have acquired an understanding of the major similarities and differences of major world cultures and the knowledge and skills that will develop their personal ability to be effective in a multicultural environment.

This workshop is generally delivered in a 1 day highly interactive format.
